NISAA Charts Way Forward for North India’s Shipping Sector at 41st AGM
NEW DELHI, September 18, 2026: The Northern India Steamer Agents’ Association (NISAA) held its 41st Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, bringing together representatives of member shipping lines to review the Association’s activities and key industry developments during 2025–26.
Sasi Nair, President, NISAA, highlighted the Association’s initiatives and key concerns facing the shipping and logistics sector, including ICD and port operational challenges, infrastructure constraints, trade facilitation and digitalisation. He reaffirmed NISAA’s role in representing members’ interests before Government authorities and industry stakeholders.
Shridhar Subramaniam, Secretary, NISAA, presented the audited accounts for 2025–26 and the proposed budget for 2026–27, which was approved by the members. Discussions also covered infrastructure bottlenecks, operational issues, trade facilitation and member welfare.
The formal proceedings concluded with a vote of thanks by Ravi Kant Chauhan, Vice President, NISAA.
NISAA Supports Inclusive Education with CSR Donation to Lepra India Trust
New Delhi, April 8, 2026: The Northern India Steamer Agents Association (NISAA) has contributed four water dispensers and essential educational materials to The Lepra India Trust as part of its CSR initiative, aimed at improving facilities for children with special needs.
The donation, which includes books, sheets, pens, and pencils, will support the NGO’s efforts in providing inclusive and non-formal education to children with diverse disabilities at its Jasola facility.
NISAA President Sasi Nair emphasized the association’s commitment to social responsibility, stating that every child deserves access to a supportive learning environment. Lepra India Trust Director Jayashree Jayaraman expressed gratitude, noting that the contribution would enhance both comfort and learning outcomes.
The initiative highlights NISAA’s role in promoting inclusive education and creating a positive impact in vulnerable communities.
